Instructions

One particle of VOID will destroy (oxidize) one particle of odor, but the particles must come in contact. Generally, just spray or humidify to-scent. Some sources emit more odors than others, but if it’s from an organic (once living) source, it will work if enough is used.

How to Void the odors of:

Pets

For light ambient smells or maintaining already clean air around stinky pets, mixing 1 part Void with 8 parts of filtered water in a humidifier will work fine.

For smells that have built up over time and the air is relatively saturated, use a fogger with the same mixture. A humidifier on high will eventually overpower it, but you may not have that much time.

For litter boxes, just spray the box and you’re good to go.

Laundry

Use 1 oz. of concentrate per size of load; 1 oz. for small loads, 2 for medium, 3 for large, 4 for extra large. Because Void only interacts with organic odors and most detergents use synthetic, they’re fine to be mixed. But if your detergent uses only natural scents, it will reduce the effectiveness of Void when they are mixed. To overcome this, soak the clothes before washing them, or just double the dose and put Void in before the clothes and detergent in the dispenser as usual (do not put the detergent directly in the basket/tank.)

Car Interiors

Leather Seats

Just spray the top area inside the car liberally, give the seats a few sprays, and spray under the seat and carpet. Leave the windows closed for an hour, then open and air out. If the smell persists, the particles did not come in contact, so use the fabric seat method.

Fabric Seats

In cars, there are a lot of nooks and crannies for the the old coffee, beer, and food to get stuck in, so you want to help the particles come in contact. To do this, put a humidifier in the car. (Use 1 to 9 parts concentrate to water). Once it’s good and foggy in there, jump in, close the door behind you, and push down on the seats to help it breathe the particles in. Next, spray the carpets with VOID and rub it in. If there are volumes of physical spills inside the seats gassing off odors, the smell from them will return but will be reduced.

Note: Although Void is non-toxic, there haven’t been any studies on long-term effects of prolonged inhalation, so it would be best to play it safe and limit how much of it you breathe in.

Shoes

Spray inside the shoes after wearing and let dry. For smellier shoes, use more Void.

Hunting Gear (For Hunting)

Use Void in addition to following normal precautions

Before heading out, spray the outside of your clothes, and especially where the skin meets your clothing (neck, cuffs, boots/pants overlap). After posting up, do it again.

Cigarette smoke in a house

The Easy Way (Light Applications)

  1. Wipe down the walls to get dust off the residue.
  2. Pour Void into a humidifier (or fogger) and run until the odor is gone. Light applications will be done in days, heavy will be done in weeks.

In carpeted houses, the smoke will permeate the carpet and probably the sub-flooring, which Void will not reach. For quick treatment of carpets, see 2 sections below.

The Thorough Way (Heavy Applications)

  1. Put blankets/plastic at base of walls to collect drips.
  2. Wipe dust off walls to expose residue.
  3. Rub white vinegar onto the wall to compromize the residue.
  4. Rub water highly saturated with baking soda onto the wall to neutralize the vinegar.
  5. Remove the flooring (at least the carpet and padding if carpeted).
  6. Run a humidifier or fogger with Void in it in the room until the odor is gone.
  7. Paint the walls and put some primer on the sub-flooring. If there were gaps between the flooring and the wall during the smoke exposure, put trim on and seal it.

Acute Needs

If you’re on house arrest or something and need to smoke in your house, close the door in your bathroom, turn the fan on, smoke under it, and blow into it. A humidifier would be optimal, but using a mister will usually do the job.

Living Spaces

Most houses have their own distinct smell due to the dander of the people living there. This effect is exaggerated among the elderly, who shed more flakes of skin. For the average person, running a humidifier on medium for 6 hours will eliminate about 6 months of dander buildup. As always, use to scent.

Real Estate Agents

The best way to remove people’s odors from houses quickly is to use a fogger with Void in it. Which fogger you use really doesn’t matter as long as it works, so just get a couple to move around. It will take a little bit to get used to how much Void it takes to remove different types and intensities of odors, but the main idea is you want to saturate the air with Void and let it marinate.

Please don’t use Void to cover material information about a house

If pet urine soaked into the subflooring, it’s no secret that you can use Void to negate an odor for the duration of a showing, but it will still be there. Be honest, don’t be a dick.

Carpets

Old Sources

If a carpet has really soaked up some odors from life and you don’t want to remove it, put Void in a carpet cleaning unit you rent from a supermarket. The concentration we recommend for this use is around 1 part Void and 1 part water, but you can adjust this depending on severity.

New Sources

For spills and pet messes, spray on the source and use as you would a carpet cleaner. If using a carpet cleaner, apply it after Void.

If the source has soaked into the sub-flooring, the only way to remove it is to replace it or use Void contantly until you overwhelm it.

Smoke Breaks

Have your partner in crime (just do the best you can if you’re alone) spray you everywhere smoke touched, paying special attention to your face, hair, and hands. This works for cigarettes and weed.

Note: You will probably feel the urge to spray it in your mouth and inhale in the spirit of thoroughness. However, Void is not antiseptic and it’s not hermetically sealed, so this is not recommended.

Weed

Sploofs/Smoke Tubes: Spray concentrate on the fabric inside of or at the end of the tube.

Rooms: Running a humidifier 1 pt concentrate to 8 parts filtered water will be more thorough, but just spraying toward the ceiling in every square foot of the room will reduce the odor.

Hotels: If you already smoked in the room, the above instructions will probably work. But if you want to be 100% sure, smoke in the bathroom, then spray Void toward the ceiling and leave the fan on.

Medical

For temporary releases of gas, spray the released gas; the longer you wait and the more the odor spreads, the more pumps you will have to do. For continuous sources, run Void through a humidifier.

Garbage Disposals

Pour a little concentrate around the dosposal and rinse down evenly, using just enough water to get it into the disposal without flushing it through. Repeat a few minutes later if you can still smell something.

Trash Cans

For full cans, just spray the top. For empty, just spray liberally making sure you hit all the surface area and close the lid.

Cooking

When cooking pungent foods in confined spaces, but a humidifier on high in the kitchen. Mix 1 part concentrate to 8 parts filtered water, and start it 10-0 minutes before cooking. Then just leave it running until the smell is gone.

Bathrooms

The best way to use Void in a bathroom is to keep a vaporizer running using 1 part Void to 7 parts water. Spray is less effective but can be sprayed in every square foot of the bathroom. How much you spray will depend on how bad it was. Take comfort; the poo particles are not covered, they are destroyed and the air is perfectly safe.

Frequently Asked Questions

u

What is it?

VOID is an iodine-based solution.

u

Can I inhale it after smoke breaks for a better effect?

There is no reason why Void itself would hurt you, but our filling station is not FDA-hygienic and the lungs are more prone to infection than your skin and mouth. So don’t inhale it.

u

Do I need to dry or vacuum after applying to carpet?

No; let it air-dry. The longer it’s there the better.

u

Is it antibacterial?

No

u

How does it work?

It oxidizes odorant particles, effectively aging them weeks upon contact.
